Faculty and Student Evaluations
Responding to feedback is a vital element in professional development. I value the feedback I have received from both faculty and students.

Regarding Alternative Assignments:
"I liked that we watched the two movies and connected them to the Bible. It was an interesting way to learn about the Bible. It would be nice to have more of these kind of assignments. I also enjoyed the social media projects and learned a lot from those as well."
Regarding Group Work:
"I think the most helpful element of small-group discussion was time to discuss the passage. Answering the questions on the slides was helpful with a whole group to voice opinions."
"I do not have too much of a religious background, so hearing from other members who did helped me learn a lot."
Regarding the Wiki Assignment
"This assignment is potentially the best method of writing a paper I have ever done. As you know I am a finance guy, and through doing this assignment I am genuinely interested in reading the different commentaries and digging deeper into the meaning of the letter. Before this class I had no idea what a commentary was. But the purpose of this e-mail is to reiterate that I truly am enjoying this assignment and have positive feedback regarding it. I do not even mind that I am sacrificing a Friday night; I find myself eager to write this paper and the research was enjoyable and in no way daunting or tedious. I wish all paper assignments I had employed this method. I enjoyed this wiki even more than the last. It is not ambiguous, and allows the student to answer the prompts in a flexible manner that they see fit. I have never felt this way about a paper before.
Final Reflections
"My understanding of the Bible was significantly greater upon completion of this class. The workload and amount of reading was very heavy, but also understandable because the Bible is such a long and complex text. I have a much greater understanding of the text itself and especially the historical context behind it."
"I was constantly engaged and felt encouraged to participate."
