I am life-long educator guiding students toward success in their individual academic pursuits with a focus on intellectual, vocational, and personal fulfillment.

I am an Assistant Professor of the Practice in joint Department of Classics and Religious Studies at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where I teach courses on classical mythology, Judaism, and Christianity. I am also a fellow at the Harris Center for Judaic Studies and international collaborator with the Reacting to the Jewish Past project at the University of Tel Aviv and the Koret Center for Jewish Civilization

My research interests include authority-making in ancient and modern textual corpora, with a focus on apocalyptic literature in Ancient Judaism and Early Christianity, and religion and violence in the lives and afterlives of Jews and Christians.
